If you wish to experience the typical Swiss chalet and winter sports, then you should aim to travel between mid-December until the end of March. If you enjoy hiking and the summer mountain atmosphere, then aim for mid-June to mid-September. The months of July and August can be quite busy in the Alps on hiking trails but you will enjoy breathcatching views and the days can be very warm.
